The Story Goes…
When you see a bull elk of this size even at 65 to 70 yards he looks huge! I could not have told you how many points he had on his antlers, I could only have told you that he was BIG, really BIG, with what seemed to be about 8 to 10 inch ivory tips on his antlers and a very dark, almost black mane.
My guide, Heith Hill, who is certainly one of Wyoming’s Finest, would later tell me he would recon this Bull to score 330 to 340 and that my Bull was the 105th bull he had guided a hunter to.
However, this bull was not YET my bull…
